Amadeus Fundación
Amadeus is a non-profit organization based in Medellín, Colombia, with over 30 years of experience in the comprehensive development of children and youth through music. Its mission is to promote emotional well-being, life skills development, and social inclusion—particularly in vulnerable communities—through educational processes that combine collective music practice, psychosocial support, and the construction of meaningful life plans.
Amadeus currently operates in two territories within the Aburrá Valley Metropolitan Area, Tierradentro and the Pachelly neighborhood, where it manages music schools that serve as safe spaces for learning, emotional support, and community gathering. Through instrument lessons, orchestral rehearsals, socio-emotional activities, and high-level artistic experiences, the organization aims to build self-esteem, discipline, resilience, and youth leadership, helping to break cycles of exclusion and broaden educational and professional opportunities for its participants.
As a differential approach, Amadeus views music not merely as an artistic tool, but as a catalyst for human development and social change. Its educational model integrates musical training, socio-emotional development, and vocational guidance, complemented by a Luthier Workshop that promotes dignified trade skills, employability, and institutional sustainability. This holistic vision enables students to not only acquire technical competencies, but also recognize themselves as active agents of positive transformation in their territories and communities.
We cultivate the genius of children, both for life and for music.
