Fundación Sonríe is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of children, young people, and adults with cleft lip and cleft palate, as well as that of their families, through a comprehensive, humane, and supportive model of care.

Our institutional mission is to guarantee access to continuous, quality, interdisciplinary care that responds not only to patients’ clinical needs but also to their emotional, social, and family well-being—contributing to reducing gaps in health and to social inclusion.

Fundación Sonríe works through a differential approach, recognizing the social, economic, cultural, and territorial conditions of the populations it serves. We develop support processes tailored to different life stages, bringing together specialties such as dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, maxillofacial surgery, speech therapy, and psychology.

A fundamental component of our work is care for vulnerable populations, including rural and Indigenous communities, through outreach clinics, field visits, and health awareness and education efforts—respecting their cultural contexts and promoting community participation.

In addition, we drive strategies for well-being, psychosocial support, and training for patients, caregivers, and families, strengthening their autonomy and capacity to cope. Our impact is achieved through coordinated work with volunteers, health professionals, strategic partners, and public and private institutions, with the purpose of transforming lives and building smiles with equity and dignity.
