Community Development and Livelihoods
Fundación Tierra Grata
Institutional Mission
To drive sustainable rural development through actions that transform communities and promote public policy. At Tierra Grata, we work to make the essentials accessible to all by delivering clean energy, safe water, dignified sanitation, and connectivity solutions to rural communities across Colombia, aimed at improving their well-being, productivity, and access to opportunities.
Organization’s Differential Approach
Tierra Grata’s differential approach lies in combining social technology with a proprietary community intervention model. We do not just install solutions: we co-create them with communities, adapt them to each rural context, and strengthen local capacities to ensure long-term sustainability. Our work is built on three strategic pillars—well-being, productivity, and education—and on decentralized, low-cost, environmentally friendly solutions. Furthermore, we incorporate last-mile strategies, community leader training, and sustainability mechanisms that foster local ownership and lasting impact. Thus, rather than merely executing projects, we drive rural development processes with active community participation and enduring results.
We go all the way to the last mile, because we believe that what is essential is for EVERYONE.
