In this way, CPUV Colombia promotes food and nutritional security, preventive health practices, and access to drinking water for more than 2,000 people who are living in the border regions next to Venezuela.
This program is one of the 13 projects that was awarded through Caring5, our grant-giving program to support Colombian foundations. Our focus on education, health, sports, community development seeks to promote their social initiatives across the country.

Fundación Huellas promotes and defends children's rights. We aim to foster opportunities for young people, providing psychosocial support to their families, and strengthening locals communities at an organizational, economic and social level. Our field of action is in peripheral areas of Medellín and Bello in Antioquia, Colombia. These areas have very little government presence and are home to Colombian violence victims and Venezuelan migrants who have been displaced from their hometowns.

Río Negro es a very affluent suburb near Medellín, yet there remain problems associated with child abuse. In 2017 alone, more than 40 arrests were made for sexual offenses against children under 14 but there are at least 2,000 pending cases or investigations in progress in the region.
